Bill Gregory

Barely recognizable out of his running thins, our hero, Bill Gregory displays a picture of his children as he boards Endeavor. I wonder how he would have finished in the Lunar Rendezvous Run wearing that outfit.

This has been a pretty good year for Bill. He won the Lunar Rendezvous Run and was third in his age group in the Houston Marathon. In his spare time he was the pilot for the STS-67 Shuttle flight. This was his first venture into space and although the excitement probably won't compare with his races, it should give him something to talk about.

This mission was the longest Shuttle mission to date. When the crew was asked what they would miss most during the more than two weeks they were in space, Bill said "roads to run on". However, at over 5 miles per second he logged some impressive mileage. Let's see, that's a marathon every 6 seconds.
